| WELCOME to the Denton A. Cooley Center! We are a fitness center that caters to the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute community. We have a main center, the Cooley Center, located on the North-West corner of the campus, facing the Outpatient Building. Our satellite center is located on Wolfe Street at the Bloomberg School of Public Health Building on the 9th floor. HOURS OF OPERATION The school-year hours of operation at Cooley Center are: Mondays - Thursdays 6:30am-11:00pm Fridays 6:30am-10:00pm Saturdays 10:00am-6:00pm Sundays 11:00am-7:00pm. The hours of operation at the Bloomberg School of Public Health are: Mondays - Fridays 7:00am-7:00pm. | SERVICES Here at Cooley, we have a variety of services available to our members. The Cooley Center offers group exercise classes, weight rooms, cardio rooms, two racquetball courts, indoor basketball court, indoor 1/16th mile track and an outdoor pool. School of Public Health houses state-of-the-art fitness equipment (cardio, weight machines and free weights) including Cardio Theater.
The Staff at both centers are qualified Personal Trainers assist you with your fitness questions or goals. A free assessment is included with a purchase of a personal training session. Group Exercise Group Exercise is a fun alternative to your usual routine. We offer a wide variety of classes including yoga, indoor cycling step and sculpting classes. (A $5/per class drop-in fee applies to members with a student membership and for ALL evening yoga participants.) JHMI Alumni Pool The JHMI ALUMNI pool is an outdoor facility located directly next to the Cooley Center. The pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Additional fees apply for pool usage. CANCELLATIONS: Just a reminder that in order to cancel you need to visit the Cooley Center or the 9th Floor Fitness Center at SPH to cancel your membership. You may not cancel your membership via email, phone or fax. Thank you! It has come to our attention that members have been swapping Cooley cards with non-members. This is a violation of our membership rules. If you are caught giving out your membership card to non-members - your membership will be revoked! Please remember to bring your Hopkins ID with you to access the center after 8pm during the week and all day on weekends. If you do not have access - please ask the staff for an access form! |
